About GKS Environmental

We provide occupational hygiene monitoring and risk assessment to clients in London, the South East of England and throughout the UK. The industries we work with include the chemical industry, craft bakeries, hospitals, quarries, aggregates and recycling.

We can undertake small one day contracts or provide a full service to large organisations.

Battersea Power Station development

Principal consultant, Graham Matthews

Graham Matthews has been working as a consultant in a range of industries since 1996.

  • He has a MSc in occupational hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
  • Is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC)
  • Has the Certificate of operational competence in occupational hygiene. (Cert Occ Hyge)
  • Is a Licentiate of the Faculty of occupational hygienists. (LIOH)
  • Is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. (CMIOSH)

The Faculty of Occupational Hygienists requires that members abide by its Code of Ethics, developed to ensure that the preservation of worker health remains their paramount responsibility at all times. The Faculty also runs the Continuing Professional Development Scheme, which is mandatory for practising Faculty members.
